so its finally the last week of school of fall. yet another semester that has gone by over the past 13 weeks in a whirl. im so glad to be back in ithaca though; travels to lake placid and montreal have been like a visit to moscow. it was so cold in lake placid that a whole thin layer of ice formed over our car (think igloo) and in moscow, the winds + snow was horrible and was reminsicent of the crazy snowy weather of ithaca in february. coming back, having to experience 0-2 deg celsius of cold doesn't seem so much like a bad idea after all.

montreal is such a paristan city. i love love love the french food. we had days and days of 3 course meals + lovely brunch which has definitely done severe damage to my wallet. i have to admit that i havent been keeping track of my expenses at all this semester and im already broke even though school's not out and my dad did allocate me extra money to save on at the beginning. :(

aside from the little digression, i am really psyched that some things have finally gone underway. my internship for winter may have been pooped but im finally getting somewhere with a summer one. i'll be heading down to the city after finals (yays!) and hopefully get to shop + watch the nyc ballet perform george balanchine's nutcracker :) soo happie about it. and today a kind alumni has offered to host me for a day at her firm on Wall Street. im keeping my fingers crossed that everything will fall into place. to think that i wasnt even planning on going down to the city this time round but guess now i have a reason to shop in NYC!

somehow this week is going to be intense (oral exam + driving test + final project + elections + info sessions....) and i wonder how im going to be survive it. good thing there's the frat formal to look forward to :) and meanwhile, i think i should just end it here and crawl into bed and keep wondering how my school life could ever get so hectic here.
